Line Car Sales Ltd ("we", "us") is a used vehicle dealer registered in England & Wales, company number 17324143. Registered office: Unit 1 Powell Road, Shipley, West Yorkshire, BD18 1BD. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website.
What information we collect
- Enquiry details — when you submit an enquiry, reserve a vehicle, book a test drive or request a part-exchange valuation, we collect the information you provide: your name, phone number, email address, your message, and (for part exchange) details of your vehicle such as registration, make, model, mileage and condition.
- Vehicle page statistics — we count how many times each vehicle page is viewed. This is a simple anonymous counter and is not linked to you personally.
- Favourites — if you save vehicles using the heart button, that list is stored only in your own browser on your device. It is never sent to us and we cannot see it.
How we use your information
We use your enquiry details solely to respond to you — to answer your question, arrange your viewing or test drive, prepare a part-exchange valuation, or hold a vehicle you have asked to reserve. We do not sell your information, share it with third parties for marketing, or add you to mailing lists.
Where your information is stored
Enquiries are stored securely in our customer enquiry system, and a copy is delivered to our business email so we can respond. Our website and database providers process this data on our behalf under their own security and data-protection commitments. All connections to this website are encrypted (HTTPS).
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards for business records, after which they may be deleted. If your enquiry leads to a purchase, information forming part of the sale record is retained as required for legal, tax and warranty purposes.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), you have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we no longer need it.
